RodelizationRodelization in CannabisRodelization is a natural process that occurs in cannabis plants when they are nearing the end of their flowering cycle. It involves the development of male flowers on female plants as a response to environmental stress or other factors causing the plant to believe its chances of reproduction are diminishing. Rodelization will look like streched out buds that are developing (knots). A part of the knot can appear yellowish and may fertilize the bulb (making a Seed). However it takes months and may never produce seeds. This can be advantageous for cultivators looking to produce seeds without the use of a male plant, as only female flowers will develop seeds through this method. However, it is important to note that rodelization does not guarantee seed production and can also result in hermaphroditism, where both male and female flowers are present on the same plant. Therefore, careful monitoring and application of rodelization techniques by experienced growers is necessary to maintain genetic integrity within cannabis strains. Overall, rodelization has its place within cannabis cultivation but should be executed with caution and proper knowledge to achieve desired results.
