The origin of G-13 is likely one of the most perplexing of any strain, making it the subject of many urban legends. According to some accounts, in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s the CIA, FBI, and other government agencies collected the best strains from around the world. At a top-secret installation at the University of Mississippi, they bred many new super hybrids.
Allegedly, a single cutting of this plant was liberated by an unnamed technician and bred for the masses. The cut, G-13, was said to be the 13th, and one of the most potent, in a series of pure Afghani strains. The other explanation of the name is that it is a code name, with "G" standing for "Government" and "13" standing for the 13th letter of the alphabet, M, for "Marijuana," which would make the whole name "Government Marijuana."
G-13 Haze is a hybrid medical marijuana strain that has been crossed with the genetics of the original Haze strain and varied G-13 crosses. This is a medical marijuana strain that was bred strictly for its ability to produce a maximum amount of potency while being renowned for it's exceptional medicinal benefits. This is the type of strain that patients will feel immediately after one rip.
Patients who have used G-13 as an alternative treatment option have typically been diagnosed with a condition such as chronic or debilitating pain within the body, severe or constant stress, anxiety, severe depression and nausea as a complication of chemotherapy.

The best way to grow G13 Haze seeds indoors is to restrict its height by careful pruning. The SCROG growing method produces good results, giving yields of up to 450 grams per square metre. Flowering time is around eight weeks.
Grown outdoors, this plant is tall and is likely to need support as it gains height. Outdoor harvest comes at the end of September or the beginning of October.
